GLOW  A  LAMP  VIA  TRANSISTOR



HELLO FRIENDS,

In this session lets discuss about "How a LAMP can be controlled by transistor".This is simillar to "SWITCH CONTROL OF A LED" the only difference here is we are connecting a LAMP via trans.. instead of connecting LED directly to 8051. just for a change;) here we are using LAMP instead of LED. before implimentation we must be aware of functionality and basics of transistor.

Transistor is a semiconductor device which is a combination of two diodes and  used for switching and amplification purpose.In this implimentation we are using this as a switch. so lets discuss it only as a switch. 

01. BLINKING A LED USING 8051 

Fundamentals Switching is the best start for the field of Embedded Systems . It Ensures the Concepts of Programming 8051 Microconttroller in 'C' Language , and analyzing the Features of 8051 Microcontroller. such that PORT's and their Roles. 1st let's start with Blinking an LED.

We know the working of simple LED (Light Emitting Diode). It will glow only at Forward Bias i.e by supplying + ve to Anode and Gnd to Cathode. shown in Below Fig.

Hello friends,
In the last session we just learnt the fundamental switching i.e Blinking a LED .Now lets move one step futher by monitoring that LED using SWITCH .what we need is "when switch is ON led must glow and when it is OFF led also turns off ".we have to do this using 8051 microcotroller .Before using microcontroller we must know that how a LED can be controlled only by using switch.As we already know LED will glow only when it is forward biased ,using this knowledge we have to control the LED using switch i.e In the ckt 1 switch is closed hence led s forward biased and it glows but in   ckt 2 switch is open hence no current and LED turns off.
